Details about application procedures 

Admission into Yitzhak Rabin College of Nursing Science is conducted in line with the guidelines of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and relevant regulatory bodies. The process is merit-based, transparent, and competitive.

JAMB UTME Registration

All prospective candidates must register and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Candidates must meet the approved JAMB cut-off mark for the academic session.

O’Level Requirements

Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings. The required subjects are:
  • English Language
  •  Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Applicants must also be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.

Purchase of Post-UTME Form

Candidates who meet the JAMB cut-off mark are eligible to purchase the Post-UTME Screening Form from the College Admission Office or through the official College website during the approved admission period.

Applicants must complete the form accurately and upload/attach all required supporting documents.

Submission of Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following: Completed Post-UTME application form
  • Photocopies of O’Level result(s)
  • JAMB UTME result slip
  • Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age
  • Certificate of Local Government Area of origin
  • Recent passport photographs
  • Any other documents as specified by the College

All submissions must be made before the stated deadline.

Post-UTME Screening / Entrance Examination

  • ⁠Eligible candidates will be invited for a Post-UTME screening examination conducted by the College.
  • The examination covers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, and General health-related knowledge.
  • ⁠Details of the screening date, venue, and guidelines will be communicated through official College channels.

Oral Interview

  • Candidates who meet the required cut-off mark in the Post-UTME screening will be invited for an oral interview.
  • The interview assesses communication skills, motivation for nursing, ethical disposition, and overall suitability for the nursing profession.

Provisional Admission

Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Provisional Admission.

Admission is subject to verification of credentials and medical fitness clearance.

Medical Screening

All admitted candidates must undergo a comprehensive medical examination at an approved health facility to confirm fitness for clinical training.

Orientation

Attendance at the College Orientation Programme is mandatory for all newly admitted students prior to the start of academic activities.

Acceptance Fee and Registration

Candidates must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee within the stipulated period.
  • Failure to make payment within the specified timeframe may result in forfeiture of the admission offer.
  • Admitted students must complete formal registration at the College Registry before commencement of lectures.
